LADA takes Langkawi to four cities in China, with its own Xiaohongshu account
The Langkawi Development Authority is on Tourism Malaysia's China sales mission, 12 to 19 October, visiting Beijing, Zhengzhou, Wuxi and Jinan.

The Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) launched an official Naturally Langkawi account on Xiaohongshu, also known as Rednote, in Beijing on Monday, 12 October. The launch is part of LADA's participation in Tourism Malaysia's sales mission to China, which runs from 12 to 19 October and covers four cities in China: Beijing, Zhengzhou, Wuxi and Jinan.
According to Bernama's report, the launch was co-officiated by Samuel Lee Thai Hung, Deputy Director-General of Tourism Malaysia, and Datuk Dr Angie Ng, President of MICA, the tourism association supporting the mission.

“China remains an important market for Langkawi,” said Waffa Wahida Zainol, LADA's Tourism Manager. “We want travellers from China to see that Langkawi is not just a beautiful island.” (Translated from Malay.)

LADA says it is using business-to-business engagement and digital storytelling to promote Langkawi beyond its traditional pitch of hot weather, beaches and sea. The effort runs under the “Rasakan Semula” campaign, which highlights Langkawi's natural beauty, its UNESCO Global Geopark heritage, beaches, wildlife and local experiences. On Xiaohongshu, LADA plans to share travel inspiration, selected experiences and local stories.

Screenshots of the account, which appears under the name 漫游兰卡威 (Naturally Langkawi), show it has been posting since 28 September, two weeks before the formal launch. Its three posts so far are an introduction, a guide for first-time visitors travelling visa-free, and a food guide.
